Last few days.
Monday we went on a class trip to Girona. It was an hour train ride and we were so close to France. Girona is a small town that has a river flowing right through it. It has a nice cathedral and a wall built around part of the city. We spent all day there, and it was a nice break from the craziness of Barcelona. Tuesday we went to the Sagrada Familia or “Holy Family”. It was...

Friday to Sunday.
Friday we all recovered from our trip to Granada. At night we went to an awesome bar called Dowe Jones. The whole bar has screens set up and the prices of the drinks are on them. At random times in the night the prices will drop and everyone rushes to the bar to get the cheap drinks. There were a lot of American students there, and we met kids from all over. On Saturday, I went back to Sitges with...

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Tuesday night we flew out of the Barcelona airport and headed towards Granada. When we landed in Granada we were surprised to see that you just walk out off of the plane instead of walking right into the airport through a terminal. The airport is a two room building with one terminal. It is ridiculously small. We hopped a bus to our hotel. We were told by Peter not to get our hopes up about the...

Sunday and Monday.
On Sunday, a few other girls and I visited the Arc de Triomf. Unfortunately, there was construction going on, but we were able to get a few photos there. We ate at an amazing restaurant called Kilimanjaro. We will definitely be returning over the next week. On Sunday we had the first sunny day in about a week and headed to the beach. I swam in the Mediterranean for the first time!! The water was...

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Thursday and Friday were quiet days. It rained both days, and we all stayed in for a good part of the day. There was a modernist fair going on on our street, so we spent some time there. Saturday was a busy day. We went to Casa Mila which is a building designed by Gaudi. The top two floors are the only ones open because the other floors have people living in them. The roof had a nice view and had...

Wednesday
Wednesday we made our way to Montserrat, which is a small town in the mountains. It us an hour train ride and a short gondola ride to get to Montserrat, but it was definitely worth it. The town has a monastery, and some legendary buildings. The oldest music school is all of Europe is there, and the boys choir preformed for us…they were phenomenal. Once in the town, you can take a train into...

Monday and Tuesday.
Monday and Tuesday were calm days. It rained on and off, but we had a project due about capturing a photo that contains minimal water. It was a lot harder than we expected but kind of gave us a different perspective.
